March 12, 2007-Croatian Generals` Assembly association was broken into yesterday. Documents gathered for the defence of general Ante Gotovina were stolen.
From the official facilities of the Croatian Generals` Assembly, between 10:30 and 15:30 March 12, 2007, documents were stolen which were gathered for the defence of general Ante Gotovina. With documents that were abalienated, the Assembly`s official computer was broken into as well and some information was taken from it.
Head of the association, major general Marinko Kresic, confirmed this for the Vecernji list daily.
-Clearly the theft of documents was the main intention of this person. These are documents of our greatest action, and it is helping in the defence of general Ante Gotovina- said major general Kresic.
On the other hand, general Gotovina`s attorney team, interesting enough, was unaware of the break in before we informed them of it. But, in spite of this, Luka Mistetic`s attorney team pointed out that the theft only makes the Hague defendant’s defence even more difficult.
-Each missing paper and document, even if less important, makes the defence harder- the team told Javno. |
